Kemal M Derrişoğlu, a young student at the University of Istanbul, was fascinated by Jean Reboul's skill as an apothecary. Determined to learn from the best, he took on the challenge of learning French, a crucial step to be able to work at the Grande Pharmacie Parisienne. This ambition marked the beginning of a fruitful partnership. Kemal, originally Jean's pupil, soon grew into a key figure in developing innovative products and methods, thus helping to shape the legacy of Atelier Rebul.

After completing his studies at the University of Istanbul, Kemal Derrişoğlu faced an important decision. He declined an attractive offer from the government to continue pursuing his passion in pharmacy alongside Jean. Their shared curiosity and love for the craft led to the development of groundbreaking products and techniques.

In 1936, this fruitful collaboration was sealed when Jean invited Kemal to become a full partner, resulting in the renaming of the apothecary to Kemal and Rebul Pharmacy. This step was a turning point and confirmed Kemal's crucial role in the apothecary. In 1938, as a final tribute to his mentor and teacher, Kemal renamed the apothecary once more, this time to Rebul Pharmacy, thereby forever anchoring the legacy of Jean Cesar Reboul and their joint efforts in history.

In 1938, Jean Cesar Reboul created REBUL LAVANDA, a Cologne water made from lavender from his own garden. This scent quickly became an icon in Istanbul, cherished for its refined aroma and as a mark of distinction. In 1939, Jean Cesar Reboul made the decision to return to France, entrusting his beloved pharmacy to Kemal.
